The Polymer / Moulding Engineering expert will have polymer / injection moulding experience in a complex environment. The Moulding Manager will have the following polymer / moulding related qualifications and experience: A relevant third level engineering degree (Polymer Science / Polymer Engineering / Manufacturing / Plastics / Injection Moulding. Have over 6 years' experience in moulding and polymer processes and technologies - Injection Moulding design/development in a science production, pharmaceutical, medical device or related industry. Have people management experience, project management skills and the ability to prioritize work. Previous project/process management, product technology transfer / NPI and validation experience is desirable. Responsibilities and duties include: Leading and supporting moulded part product development and improvement projects. Providing leadership and technical support to operations and also on future key strategic projects. Leading a team of Engineers to generate project charters and deliver projects against agreed milestones. Managing the metrology function to deliver and maintain robust measurement processes for all moulded parts. Managing the Engineering validation function. Direct and coordinate planning and scheduling of moulding manufacturing. Technical decision making and project planning for new mould tools and processes. Data capture and Statistical analysis of moulding processes and dimensions. Partnering with customers, suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to understand and deliver technical solutions for operations and new products/projects. Coordinating technical teams on validations for new products/processes and changes. Ensuring projects are delivered on-time and within budget according to business requirements. Regular progress reporting to senior management. Ensuring compliance with all Quality, Regulatory, GMP requirements, policies and relevant legislation. Identification and coordination of improvement projects to deliver product quality and efficiency improvements in injection moulding, metrology and engineering validation processes.
