Matrix Recruitment Group is currently seeking to recruit a Health & safety Officer to be based in Co. Mayo. What you need to know. As the Health & safety Officer you will work for our Manufacturing Food client who is currently undergoing major expansion. This is a permanent job. Salary is negotiable for the right candidate and dependant on experience. Your new job. Key Responsibilities. Ensure operations comply with all relevant legislation and procedures with regards to Health & Safety. Work with Managers and maintenance function to introduce measures to prevent accidents. Assist managers in identifying risks and taking action to prevent these risks. Assist with emergency planning exercises. Provision of all H&S throughout the company. Ensure all records are always up to date. Preparing and conducting safety exercises. Complete annual safety audits and spot checks. What are we looking for? Essential Criteria. Educated to degree level in Health & Safety or related discipline. 1-2 years’ experience in an H&S role in a food production environment is essential.
