What you need to know. You will work as a FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – GROUP REPORTING for our client, highly successful national retail chain , located in Co. Mayo. The Financial Accountant will report to the Finance Director. This is a Permanent job. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Responsible for the preparation of monthly and forecast Group consolidated accounts to strict deadlines for inclusion in managementreporting. Responsible for the preparation of monthly Group consolidated. Responsible for the preparation of monthly and forecast reports including analysis and commentary on overall Group and business unit performance. Responsible for the preparation of annual Group consolidated budget reporting pack agreed and reconciled to the approved Group’s Strategic Plan. Pro-active approach to on-going system and process development to reflect changing and evolving needs. Liaising with external auditors to facilitate their review of interim and year end Group consolidation including relevant notes to the financial statements. Preparation of statutory accounts and company secretarial. Management of the finance team. Other ad hoc finance project work as required. What are we looking for? Qualified Financial Accountant with ‘a minimum of 5 years post qualification accounting and commercial experience ideally gained in the retail sector. Advanced Excel, sap business and crystal reporting. People management experience. Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information. Strong written communication and reporting ability. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and interact with persons at all levels across the Group. Technically competent and good knowledge of IFRS. Self-motivated, proactive, ability to ensure tasks are finalised to strict deadlines. Ability to multitask and manage numerous priorities.
