My client is a leading provider of telecommunications and application performance solutions, supporting over 2000 organisations and subscribers around the world based in Sligo They are seeking an experienced and dynamic networkengineer. Responsibilities include: Ensure the support team is managed and act as a point of escalation. Ensure network is running optimally and bandwidth growth is monitored and proactively managed. Provide proactive network management, identifying and budgeting for potential upgrades to improve network performance and capability. Answer technical support calls/customer emails and provide excellent customer service in a timely, efficient and friendly manner. Escalating network problems to the network manager. Provide support for internal LAN and cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with team members and ensure they are provided with the timely and relevant information. Facilitate knowledge transfer among the engineering support team. Ensure procedures are in place to deal with network outages and service affecting issues, including managing the out-of-hours support service. The successful candidate will have: Experience supporting IP Network, customer access network (wireless and fixed line. Experience managing windows in a corporate environment. Experience with KPI’s and Reporting. Ability to explain technical problems to non-technical people. Highly organised and possess the ability to think laterally.
