Lead Formulation Scientist is required by a global, research-based biopharmaceutical company based in Dublin. This Company combines the focus and passion of a leading-edge biotech with the expertise and capabilities of a long-established pharmaceutical leader to develop and market advanced therapies that address some of the world's most complex and serious diseases. An excellent opportunity for a Formulation Scientist to provide technical support and program management to all manufacturing operations and NPIs throughout the site. As this is Lead position, the successful candidate will have 3 to 5 direct reports. The Formulation Scientist will: o Provide technical support to all manufacturing operations from a formulation perspective, and to develop new and innovative processes to deliver cost reductions. o Provide technical support to all manufacturing and formulation related issues. Tasks include, daily trouble shooting, optimisation, cost reduction, training and coaching of manufacturing personnel. o Planning and leadership of technical transfers for future product introductions to the site. o Leadership of manufacturing activities, during the qualification and validation batches associated with new product introductions to the site . The Formulation Scientist will require: o Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a related discipline. o 3 years' experience in OSD formulation, with relevant experience of process development, technical transfers, commissioning and validation within a GMP environment in the pharmaceutical industry. o 3 years' experience of start-ups and/or new product introductions to pharmaceutical facilities. Must be able to lead these activities in a start-up environment. o Prior people management experience.
