What you need to know. Matrix Recruitment is seeking to recruit a Senior Packaging Engineer for our Medical Devices client based in Galway. You will focus on the creation and integratation of packaging solutions that meet customer expectations. Salary is negotiable for the right candidate and dependent on experience. This is a permanent position. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Technical leadership in design and development of packaging concepts. Lead technical deliverables and ensure mitigating risk with packaging design. Strong project management skills. Provide input into process changes and sterilization methods andeffect on packaging. Clear communication and integration across R&D Development Team. Material analysis in sterile pouch and thermoformed tray design to meet distribution environment. Ensure the monitoring of country regulations for Packaging Materials and Processes. Participate with a range of support vendors as required. What are we looking for? Desirable: Educated to degree level in science or related discipline. 4-5 years ’ experience preferably in the medical devices sector. Medical device technology experience - experience in interventional vascular devices would be an advantage. Biomedical materials and processing knowledge. Excellent project management skills.
