Our client is a leading biopharmaceutical multinational with a medical devices plant in Sligo. They are now seeking to recruit a HR Manager to lead the HR function on site and work with the Ireland HR Team with a direct reporting line to the Ireland HR Director. You will be a key member of the Site Leadership Team and will be primarily responsible for developing and delivering the HR Strategic long range plan which supports the overall strategic aims and objectoves of the business. The position is a key driver in developing and sustaining the company culture while ensuring the site continues to excel as a Great Place to Work. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop and deliver the HR Strategic long range plan for the business. Lead and direct the Human Resource team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business. Managing talent and succession planning; taking overall responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns to recruit suitably qualified employees internally and externally to meet current and future requirements within agreed timelines. Design & implement employee development programs across all levels of the organisation to ensure future talent is developed –including L&D, Technical training and educational development programs. Working closely with senior management to make changes in organisational structure and implement initiatives that promote organisational effectiveness. Manage & deliver multiple Culture and employee engagement initiatives to ensure positive employee relations and promote a great place to work culture within the organisation. Working closely with the management team to deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues. Control of site’s compensation & benefit programs and management of annual performance management program. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a Business Studies/HR or other relevant discipline. Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD. 7-10 years relevant HR/Business experience. A minimum of 2 years' people management experience. 2 years’ experience at Senior Management level within an organisation or experience supporting senior management in the organisation. 5 years+ experience as HR Generalist/HR Business Partner with comprehensive experience managing HR/ Employee Relations issues. 2 years+ experience in recruitment.
