Design and Project Engineer positions (Sligo. Keltia Ireland Ltd is a technical support services company providing CAD training, engineering design, and a broad range of technical recruiting services to customers in the Aerospace, Automotive and Medical Device industries on a permanent and contractual basis. We have been in business since 2012 in Ireland and we have a sister company in the US, Keltia Design, Inc. that has been in business for nearly 17 years. Currently looking for Senior Design Engineer & Design Engineer along with Project Engineers with Mechanical Design & Automation experience. Due to continued expansion, our clients now require experienced Designers to join their busy design department. You will have experience in a production environment. Project Engineer, Senior Design Engineer &/or Design Engineer. RESPONSIBILITIES : Continuous improvement of all aspects of design department. Assist Project Engineers in taking live projects from inception to completion. Produce SolidWorks models/drawings working from concept/layout drawings. Mentoring of design engineers. Standardisation and optimisation of current solutions. To design and develop new products for the industry. To design and develop enhancements to existing product range. To support other departments where required on issues of a technical nature. The production and maintenance of technical documentation as required. To ensure that products meet all mandatory legislation (Design RA, CE Manuals etc.) Constant interrogation of product design to identify and implement cost savings and manufacturing/process improvements. Input to the specification of mechanical components such as belts, motors and pneumatics and electrical. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Engineering Background. 3+ years’ experience using Solidworks within a Manufacturing Environment. Fully conversant with SolidWorks, PDM and CAD management. Experience in sheet metal and fabrication a distinct advantage. Experience in the Bioprocess Technology a distinct advantage. Effective organisation and time management skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to remain calm under pressure and multi task to meet tight deadlines. High attention to detail. Enthusiastic and can do attitude.
