We are seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join our client, a large medical device organisation based in the Northwest. Job Purpose: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. You will provide engineering support, recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods & controls and coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Troubleshoots new products/process working closely with product development. Continually seeks to drive / improvements in process design, layout and operational performance. Demonstrates good working knowledge and application of validation techniques and associated regulatory requirements. Actively promotes and participates in a cross -functional teamwork environment – working closely with NPD, Equipment Engineering and operations. Gives technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians. Actively contribute to the enhancement of compliance initiatives for areas of responsibility. Ensure safety standards and awareness within the manufacturing/process engineering group are in compliance with legislation and issues effectively dealt with. To prepare technical documentation such as standard operating procedures, safety programmes, validation protocols, technical reports, engineering calculations, change controls and other documentation as required. Key Requirements: Honours degree qualification in an engineering or science subject. A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in an engineering role. Good technical capabilities, communication skills, teamwork abilities and initiative. Proven ability to work well both as part of a team but also able to work on own with minimum supervision.
