He or she will be an excellent recruiter, a strong communicator and an issue resolver. The Engineering VP’s role is to make everyone in the engineering organisation successful, and he or she needs to solve issues that are getting in the way of success. Responsibilities: Design and implementation of short-term and long term recruitment strategy. Proactive management of the Company Recruitment Programme, Open Position Skills and Timing Requirements as well as the Selection Process. Partner with colleagues and other stakeholders to conduct a review of the existing recruitment practices in the Company. Review of current recruitment process and implement solutions / improvements as required. Design and implement innovative and cost effective recruitment solutions to meet target driven incremental business requirements. Design and implementan end-to-endrecruitment strategy, including the monitoring and escalation of hiring. Design and place advertisements when required. Management of Recruitment section of Company Website. Management of Social Media channels in relation to Recruitment. Maintain appropriate community links. Search out and recommend new recruitment and selection media/ideas. Expertise: An experienced Engineering and/or Program Manager with previous in-house recruitment experience. A professional qualification in Engineering, Preferably Electrical Engineering with multi-national corporation experience. Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced challenging environment. Ability to work well under pressure and thrives to face challenges. A strong communicator and influencer with stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to influence and recruit at all levels and to drive and deliver commercial results against targets. Works on own initiative, is self-driven and pro-active in planning and delivering commitments. At least 20 years’ experience in a Senior Engineering role capable of being both strategic and tactical to meet changing business needs.
