What you need to know. Matrix Recruitment are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer for their Medical Devices client in Galway. This is an Weekend Shift position and a contract initially with excellent opportunities for the position to become permanent. You will work in the Drug Coated Balloon Engineering Department. Excellent salary and attractive benefits package available. Your new job. Support engineering operation in supporting the development and production of products. Key engineering support to cover weekend activity within the Drug Coated Balloon department. Line support activities such as scheduling preventative maintenance, reducing downtime, executing calibration activities, yield improvement projects and documentation. Support activities in cost reduction, process efficiency, operational excellence and lean. Provide training for new personnel on the area processes. What are we looking for? BEng in Engineering or equivalent. 3 years’ experience within a medical devices environment and in a similar role. Knowledge of statistical analysis (Minitab) would be an advantage. Experience of Agile and SAP is an advantage and excellent problem-solving skills are desirable. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
