My client is looking to recruit an experienced Design Engineer, with experience working in the medical device industry, to join a developing company based in Sligo. Responsibilities: Design and development of new medical products. Product/process evaluation and associated record keeping. Selection of raw materials, components and suppliers. Fabrication of prototypes, and test products. Requirement: Minimum third level qualification in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or similar related discipline. Experience working for 5+ years in a similar role. Ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and presentation skills. Have the ability to work in a changing environment and as part of a team. Knowledge of a high-end CAD System, AutoCAD/Solidworks etc. Hands-on approach to designing and fabrication.
