Our client, a transcatheter heart valve company, is seeking to recruit a Site Director to head up its start-up facility in Sligo. SUMMARY: Responsible for overall site management of class III medical implant manufacturing facility. This includes Production, Engineering, Facilities, EH&S, Materials, Logistics, Quality Systems, IT and Accounting. The facility is approx 22,000 sq ft. REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated leadership in site General Management of class III devices; no pharma or solutions. Must be device related experience. Experience in European and FDA audits. Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or Science. MBA or solid business acumen. Experience with IDA and Irish medical device infrastructure. Six Sigma Black Belt a plus… green belt certification a must. Medical device design control experience. Product transfer experience. Solid track record of metric driven management. Process development and improvement achievements. Strong cost accounting background. IT savvy in respect to systems and processes. Proven safety record.
