Finance Analyst - Sligo. Our client based Sligo is currently recruiting for an experienced finance analyst. This is a new role following re structuring and it is permanent role. Management Accounting: Responsible for the management accounting month end close. Settlement of process orders, working closely with Production and TSMS departments to analyze and report on variances and absorption; including timely resolution of any issues. Business partner with other departments to provide timely and accurate financial guidance. Timely and Accurate Financial Reporting. Prepare month end journals in accordance with US GAAP. Prepare monthly accounts reconciliation in the CARTT system. Participate in the timely closing of the month end accounts in line with defined GSD and GBS deadlines. Analyze accounts for variances to Plan and document same for reporting purposes. Provide key input to corporate forecasts as required e.g. NTF, F03, F06 etc. Submit all financial reports and forecasts to Corporate in line with defined deadlines. Business partner with GBS to ensure accurate monthly P2P, prepayments, accruals, GEMS recording. Deputise for Financial Controller when required. Product Costing. Understand the Blue Book and its application in SAP. Analyze financial impact of proposed changes to BOM’s and recipes prior to implementation. Escalate to Financial Controller as necessary. Provide accurate costing information to stakeholders as required. Participate in business case analysis as required. Business Plan and Monitoring. Drive the annual Business Plan process, including management of expense add up. Liaise with all departments to ensure adherence to strict deadlines. Development of annual standard cost model, calculation of activity rates, and new standard costs for approval by local management. Monitor and report on site performance against BP and other KPI’s. Monitor progress on cost saving initiatives e.g. UFO campaign. Provide financial guidance to designated departments through monthly Finance Forum to enable business partners to meet or exceed plan. Intercompany. Oversee the ICO process, work with stakeholders to ensure any issues are resolved on a timely basis. Statutory and Tax. Prepare the annual statutory accounts in accordance with IE GAAP or IFRS as required. Liaise with tax advisors to prepare Corporation Tax computation. Management annual external audit, ensuring that CRO and Revenue filing deadlines are met. Prepare monthly and/or quarterly tax forecasts as requested by corporate tax. Ensure compliance with VAT and other tax reporting. Co-ordinate R&D tax credit application. Assist in grant applications. Quality and Compliance. Ensure that accounting is in compliance with corporate policies and procedures including the Global Financial Policies, FRAP and the Blue Book. Ensure compliance with Sox and US GAAP. Establish systems of internal control and monitor their effectiveness in safeguarding the company’s assets and guaranteeing the accuracy and integrity of the financial records. Communication. Develop intercompany network e.g. with the GBS and Corporate Manufacturing Finance. Manage working relationships with external agencies including external auditors, revenue authorities, government agencies, etc. Promote finance agenda throughout the Sligo site including recommendations to improve plant performance and reduce costs. General. Ensure compliance with the Company’s Environmental, Health and Safety Rules. Ensure compliance with the Company’s Human Resources policies. Required Skills : Technical/Functional/Professional Competencies. Qualified accountant with minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Dynamic finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, excellent communication, problem solving and analytical abilities. Effective presentation skills with ability to deputise for Financial Controller to senior management. Experience and Knowledge. Essential. Qualified accountant with minimum of five years post qualification experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Preparation of US GAAP month end financial accounting and reporting to strict deadlines. Preparation of monthly cost accounting using SAP, settlement of process orders, analysis of variances and absorption. Drive annual business plan process, including management of expense add up, and calculation of annual standard costs. Preparation of annual statutory accounts, management of external audit. Experienced in the use of SAP financial and costing modules. Advanced Excel capability. Dynamic finance professional with strong technical accounting skills. First class numerical, problem solving and analysis skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence business partners to produce solid financial results. Effective presentation skills including deputising for Financial Controller to senior management on an ad hoc basis. Proactive attitude with an ability to work on own initiative. Time management - ability to prioritize and deliver quality output to strict deadlines. Willingness to take on ad hoc duties and support wider finance team e.g. provide back up during vacation time. Desired. Participation in TCI projects particularly from a financial perspective. Six Sigma Greenbelt. Formal tax qualification e.g. AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA.
